Hmm, I sure hope the forums are considered to border the Neutral Zone.  Otherwise my Klingon Bird of Prey WIP and your Romulan WIP may start trying to duke it out.  Big Smile

Looking forward to seeing more on your build!

Thanks the Future gloss coats are applied and I hope that the decals are still good as they are a focal point of a Romulan Bird of prey ..comes with a neat display base...

Luckily the six -piece Bird of Prey decals were still good  .  I put down Microsol before application and will add more as needed..

Sprayed a coat of clear flat on the decals and made a base for it ..simple kit but it does look the part.

I made the base out of a wooden paper towel rack, one conductor copper wire and a ball bearing that was drilled and tapped for A machine screw .The reason I made it is because the key for the kit supplied base would necessitate cutting the decals , which I did not want to do .I painted it metallic silver and the stripped ends fit into the engine nacelles  A very workable solution.

The decals look like they went down without a hitch.  I'm kinda jealous as my current project hasn't been that kind to me.

I don't know if it was deliberate or not, but the placement in front of the box art makes the Romulan Bird of Prey look like it's trying to evade the Klingon cruisers.  I think it makes a great action shot!

Thanks!AMT made the six piece decals key into other which was an intelligent solution to a tricky decal problem Yes I thought the box art backdrop was appropriate for the Bird of Prey!

Always a cool build. Congrats on making the decals actually fit and work. Most times on this kit they are a nightmare. Well done.
