Yes.  Yes...  A Jedi must always a calm mind have when the john you are sitting on.  Force things you must not.  Hurt yourself you will.  Beware the Dark Side... Hemmorhoids they will give you.

OK but seriously, the bloated DV figure is hard to see in the completed model, unless you throw a spotlight on him.

I've got Yoda in my head saying "you must feel the Force flow through you..."

... his mask seemed to be distorting from the "effort".  Indifferent

Just the Vader figure was bad - not only did he look like he was on a toilet, his mask seemed to be distorting from the "effort".  Indifferent

The "birdie feet" landing gear was also laughable.

Barring any responses, Round 2 recently retooled the classic MPC kit.  It includes a better Vader figure (I mean, how could anyone do worse than the original?  Oh wait, there was the Snowspeeder crew.  Ick!) as well as a retooled hatch and wing panel end caps, and clear guns.

The original inaccurate wing panel end caps on the MPC kit were used as-is on the movie prop TIE Bomber, so I bet there will be a run for the old kit by scratchbulders now that the tooling has been altered.

I built the original Star Wars kits when I was a kid in 1978 (or thereabouts). Of the four I built, C3PO, R2-D2, Luke's X-Wing and Darth Vader's TIE Fighter, the TIE was the better of the four kits.

Yeah, it's been bypassed by better versions by Revell and Bandai, but it was not a poor kit by 1978 standards.

I really like the Revell of Germany one.
