1:32 FLYING SUB...Take 2!

Here is my Moebius 1:32 Voyage To The Bottom Of the Sea Flying Sub build .
I built too many to remember of this model but retained this one for myself.
Here’s what I did…
I filled in and sanded smooth those ugly landing gear hatches on the bottom.
I made my own engine exhaust casings to match the studio miniature and discarded the kit parts.
I cut the plastic search light casings off the model and fabricated my own replacements.
The model was air brushed a “ school Bus Yellow” and shaded with yellow and orange and grey to match the studio miniature. ( the Flying Sub Is NOT lemon Yellow).
Photo Etch from Paragrafix was used through out.
The model features full lighting and figures of Nelson and Crane.
The lighting is my own. I wanted it to match the studio miniature’s warm white interior.
I thought I would take some proper pictures of the model instead of the usual bench top photos.

Jim, this looks incredible!  The subtle shading in the exterior hull and that interior work is outstanding!  I loved watching this show when I was a kid.  My older brother built the Aurora kit when we were kid.  I recently came across another Aurora kit at an estate sale.  I still need to do an inventory of the parts!  Once again "Well done"
