Been trying to get back to the bench and once again be an active member of the community.  This will be a quick post with only a few in between shots (because it's all I took).

Working a regular model has been challenging, so I decided to skip anything requiring assembly and focus on painting.  Grabbed a couple of miniatures from the game box and got to it.

I really like the zenithal painting technique for minis.  It makes it really easy to figure out where to enhance/place shadows.  Very apparent on the Imperial Officer.

A few washes, some dry brushing, and a little detail painting.  Like magic they are done!

The imperial officer has no face because I couldn't get the eyes to work and I hadn't cleaned up the imperfections from the casting so washes and such tended to accumulate in the wrong places.

I'm pleased with the results.  After all, they got me back at the bench!
