Great trifecta of planet, blockade runner, and Star Destroyer.  Makes for a compact yet dynamic scene.  It's a beautiful remembrance.  Thank you for sharing!

Nicely done. My younger brother bought me this kit for Christmas way back in the 1980s.

I still have bits and pieces of it.

You've done your brother proud. He bought this kit to be built.

Hi all,

A long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away Smile), I posted a few photos of an AMT Star Destroyer kit that I was working on and trying to figure out how to use washes on the raised detail.

That thread is here:

I finally finished the model today! There's a bit of a stroy behind this one. My youngest brother, Nate, passed away a bit over 10 years ago. We were very close. When helping my parents and my other brother go through Nate's belongings, I found this AMT Star Destroyer kit. After some time, I started building it in his honor.

The kit was complete, except for the base, so I had to make a new one. I also purchased an in-scale 3D printed Rebel Corevetteto be part of this display.

Here's the completed Star Destroyer over Tatooine:
