Most definitely different Ollie's locations do not get the same stock to every location. My local store has had some Atlantis and Revell stuff, and mostly cars. Not a single Trek or Bandai kit in sight.

mine had them in stacks near the check out, not in the toy aisles or the end caps of the aisles. They were intermixed with all sorts of other toys and games.

There was also a Transformer Star Scream jet model. It kind of looked cool.

GAF

I noticed my local one had the AMT (Polar Lights) 1/32nd Green Hornet "Black Beauty" for the car buffs.

Mine also had the Batman Forever Batwing (which was originally a Revell-Monogram kit), but in an AMT box along with the Cartoon version of Speed Racer's Mach 5 and the Black Beauty.

It seems to be a real hodge podge of kits.

I believe they originate in Akron, Ohio and have recently started to expand. When I was in Texas and Alabama, it was akin to Big Lots or Odd Lots (Job Lots?); however, the current version of Big Lots is more like a Dollar General or pared down Walmart and not like Ollie's.

In the mid 90s I was stationed in Alabama and the Big Lots had stacks of AMT/Ertl kits on clearance for about 50-75% the regular price. Thirty dollar T-55 or M60A1 kits for $4.99. Star Trek Runabouts for $9.99. I remember buying many of them.

Today, all Big lots tend to have the same stuff. Ollie's has various stuff here and there depending on the location.

Sadly, this DFW metroplex is not graced with an Ollie's.

Sounds like smashing good discounts.

My local Ollie's had the Polar Lights Star Trek Discovery USS Enterprise and The Wrath of Khan USS Reliant for $12.99.

They also had the Bandai Boba Fett and Transformers Starscream for the same amount. StarScream looked like the old model kit that Monogram marketed as Leader-1 of the Go-Bots cartoon.
