I just completed this build yesterday. Hope you like it.
Not sure why the pictures didn't come through.

Hey Golanthius, just saw your post in the Welcome forum. Glad to have you here!
Thanks for sharing the pics of the Y-Wing.
Is the gold cockpit perchance a reference to the Gold group from Star Wars? :)
I like how you picked out a few of the details with red and yellow and the wear on the engine exhausts. What method did you use to show the wear on the metal?
Hope you'll continue sharing your work with us!

GolanthiusHiya PhoenixG, The gold cockpit is a PE kit I picked up for the Y-Wing.
Cool! I didn't know there were any PE kits for the Y-Wing. Do you recall who the maker was? Thinking about snagging one to add to the Y-Wing I have in my stash.
GolanthiusI painted the exhaust with a Dark Gunmetal then drybrushed with Metallic Aluminium.
I really do like the look it produced. It's a lot simpler than what I was thinking. Simple solutions = goodness.
Yeah. that looks really good! The gold cockpit is really eye-catching and the copper fuel lines stand out nicely against the silver/aluminum of the hull.

Thanks Rob for posting these pics. I'm not sure how to insert the pics into the thread. I could only insert the link.
