Enterprise E

Yes and no. I believe ERTL's Ent: E is a 1/1400 like their Ent-D. Their Excelsior and Reliant are larger scale, and there fore are huge compared to the EntD/E. The Voyager 3-ship it I believe is in 1/1400 scale, but that is about is in terms of 1/1400.

1/1400 seems to be the standard scale for building Trek models. Most "Garage" resin producers put all their models out in 1/1400. Check out http://www.federationmodels.com/ if you want some more ideas to build up your 1/1400 fleet. I just finished up an Akira, and am working on knocking out a Nebula-conversion kit and the Centaur. There is a GREAT selection. I'm looking at a Saber or Steamrunner as my next project.

If you are working on the Ent-E, I would look at JT Graphics decal sheet for it. It comes with A LOT more and more detailed decals than the ERTL kit, and it well worth the money. (You can also get custom names!)

Right on Marin, Thanks for the info, so the first contact kit is the same as the insurrection kit then. I like the different garage kits but I got into the scifi kits strictly for lighting purposes. Nothing beats that studio look know what i mean. Anyway this kit puts me one kit away from the collection of Star Trek kits. I need the lighted Yamaguchi and I'm set. Thanks again. Sincerely T.L.

The "C"/Yamaguchi is 1400th as well. There is a difference btween the two "E" versions but I can't recall what it is. You may want to inquire over at Starship Modeler.

Great links Marin, Thanks, The differences it looks like were a few cosemetic ones, but I'm guessing that the model company didn't go as far as to redo their casting molds for what to them waa the same exact ship.
