Hi. Has anyone done business with Hobby Link Japan? If so was it good or bad?

Thanks.

It has been good for me. I have ordered several kits from them and they were all packed well, and arrived by SAL with no damage. They did not charge my credit card until the day the product was shipped and they provide you a means to create an account so you can keep your email , credit card number, shipping address, etc. maintained yourself. I've never had to call them but they do answer most of my emails.

When they finally start taking pre-orders for the next wave of Bandai Star Trek, I'll be ordering from them. Their prices are generally lower for those kits than most US dealers.

Like Old_Mc said. I've ordered from the company three times and never had a problem. The third time was a pre-order for two Star Trek 1701-E and although the order was a while before Bandai finished the product to ship HLJ did not charge my credit card until the model was mailed.

I'd recommend the company.

I've gotten over a dozen kits from them over the years and never had a problem. They have very good customer service.

Incredible. I've ordered quite a bit from them, and never once had a problem.

I just had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Scott Hards (HLJ owner) at the Shizuoka Hobby Show this past weekend. Nice guy! I've never ordered from HLJ (I'm already in Japan!), but I've only heard good things about the company, and meeting Mr. Hards has only reinforced my good impression of Hobby Link Japan.

If you want something from Japan, HLJ is the way to go!

I have ordered many items from HLJ over the last year and I cannot recommend them enough. I am currently working in Oman in the Middle east and shipping time from Tokyo to here is never more than 5-6 days, which given the state of the local mail system sometimes is nothing short of phenomenal.

Their packaging allways gets the items here undamaged, which again is something to marvel at.

HLJ and Megahobby are my preferred sources for model kits over the internet.
