Great Galactica at the Shizuoka show (crappy pix, though!)
Posted by J-Hulk on Tuesday, May 25, 2004 10:25 AM
Here's a coupla pix I (crappily) took at the Shizuoka Hobby Show the other day. Nicely lit, with lots of MOVING lights! Flashing ID lights here and there, but the kicker were the running landing lights in the landing bays! Of course you can't see them move in the pic, but it was very cool. These terrible pix do not do justice to this great piece of work, unfortunately. The guy said he unloaded a couple of HMS Hood kits into it for extra detail.
Nice!

The shaky pix:

The only thing missing was a low-end rumble...and maybe a coupla Vipers in the bay!

Great model! Thanks for showing it to us. The original Galactica is my favorite by far. The new one is alright but gets lost in a sea of like CG creations.

Great looking Galactica. I agree with Woody; it's one of my favorite sci-fi ships. Thanks for sharing the pics, Brian.

That's impressive. How big is it, Brian? Can't really get a sense of scale from it.

It's just the ol' Monogram Galactica, maybe about a foot and a half long.
Speakin' of which, a local TOY STORE (not a hobby shop) has the Monogram Galactica for about $20 USD...seriously thinking about getting it! Monogram Cylon Base Star for about $25 USD, and a Cylon Raider for $10 USD, too...geez, I oughta pick 'em all up!!!

Hmmm...the reason they turn to Xs is because changes, and since I used the RonGeorge gallery, that usually happens after a coupla weeks since you first put them in an upload folder, and then they are moved to their permanent folder.
These pix, however, seemed to have been deleted from the gallery altogether! They're not in the upload folder or the SF folder...I reckon they got axed!
Oh well, guess I'll have to upload 'em again...

Okie dokie...re-uploaded! I even added one more pic.
I can guess the pix were dumped from the gallery due to their poor quality!
No argument there!Wink [;)]

Like, wow, man. Didja even see the pix? Confused [%-)]

Looks like they've gotten sorted in Ron's gallery and have disappeared from this thread.
If anybody wants to see 'em, post here and I'll re-link them.
If not, I won't bother.Ashamed [*^_^*]
