gee now if someone can come up with Models from the show Earth Above and Beyond the fighters and dropships were awesome.

On the workbench: Dragon 1/350 scale Ticonderoga class USS BunkerHill 1/720 scale Italeri USS Harry S. Truman 1/72 scale Encore Yak-6

The 71st Tactical Fighter Squadron the only Squadron to get an Air to Air kill and an Air to Ground kill in the same week with only a F-15 http://photobucket.com/albums/v332/Mikeym_us/

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I have seen the Hasegawa ones. The pilots will work fine but the ground crew would take a lot of work to make marines out of them. Have also been looking for those Bandai ones, but no luck so far.

Oh, the Colonial Marines from Aliens. I am looking for suitable figures to go with the SMT 1/48 Dropship and APC.

What scale were those old AEF Designs Colonial Marines? Were they 35th or 48th? They made Aliens too. They are long gone, but I think you can buy recasts of them.

In fact, years ago I broke my own cardinal rule and bought a recast of the alien queen from a guy named Jim. Jim did a superb job fixing the horrendous AEF original and then when he recast it, it was simply beautiful. Never built it, though. It's still in the basement. Sad [:(]

Hasagawa and Fujimi both make (made?) a set of Naval ground crew which could be converted a little easier. Hasagawa also makes a set of Air Force ground crew and if you can find any of the old Bandai (rereleased under Frog) 1/48 armor, they usually have ground troops.
Another possibility are the Warhammer Cadian troops by Citadel which are 25mm which scales out at 1/60. This is a little small but at least they look the part.

1/48th Colonial Marines - Anything?

O.K. I know the answer to my first question. Any 1/48th Colonial Marines figures? - NO! So, is there anything close? Am looking for 1/48th figures that I can, with not to much difficulty, make into Colonial Marines.

I searched but am coming up with didley-squat? Lots of pilots, but no soldiers.

Any help out there?

Thanks,
