Mechwarrior models anywhere?

Armorscale produces large scale resin models of the Madcat, Vulture and Atlas. Hopefully there are more on the way. They range in price from like $95-100 for the vulture, about $120 for the Madcat and about $140 for the Atlas......the Atlas is absolutely HUGE!!!! If you're interested in adding some Elemantels to them, look at the larger pewter one available through Iron Winds (they bought Battletech from Fasa) It's the same scale.....

Thanks. But - I was hoping some something at a lower price. Hopefully over time more models will come out - especially with Playstation and X-Box having the game now.

A modelshop owner told me that that was exactly the reason models are on the decline.. Playstation, X-box and PC games. I like to play games like the next man, but I had to agree with him unfortunately..

Have you considered the miniatures from Iron Winds???? They're designed for the rpg, but paint up very nicely. I collect and paint them........I currently have well over 200 of them (far to many) They range in size of 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches in height and cost less than $10 each. Now that Iron Winds have taken over the 'mech business, they're re-issuing all the older ones, many with new poses and introducing a LOT of new ones each month. As for something larger, for a Phoenix Hawk, Stinger, Wasp try the Macross Valkryes.......and I have seen some others (Griffin, Shadow Hawk, Warhammer etc) listed in the latest issue of Hobby Japan just today as a matter of fact. They are around 1/72 scale. Something may turn up if you do a little digging.

Almost forgot....check out the Hobbylink Japan website!!!! hlj.com They have links to a lot of companies that are re-issueing a lot of the older Macross models that are the basis for a lot of the origional 'Mechs.

Does anyone know if anyone will ever produce 1/144, 1/48, and/or 1/72 scale BTech Battlemechs and omnimechs? I'm tired of having to buy either a 1 footer, or a tiny little RPG mini! Also, does anyone know if there are plans to make some BattleTech mechs as well? The Mechwarrior versions(since they have to be computer rendered) often are horribly inaccurate!(Take the Cauldron-Born for example! In real Life, it had no torso, it's head was pretty much stuck between its legs. But in MechWarrior4, they raised the torso and gave it a torso-actuator to allow torso-twist! And that made it look ugly! GAH!)

Scale wise, the Macross kits were made in 1/200, 1/100, 1/72 and 1/48 scales. These were made by Bandai, Imai, and others. Hasagawa recently started making Valkryes in 1/72nd scale with all of the detail you expect from them. You can find these kits on ebay all of the time. Just search for Macross or Battletech under models. The larger kits go for outrageous (IMHO) prices but you can usually get a smaller scale kit around $20. Also, check your local hobbyshop as they may have some of these gathering dust in the back. One of my shops carries some of the 1/200 scale kits for under $10. It was also recently announced that Bandai will be rereleasing several of their Macross kits so check out Hobbylink Japan for more info. Greens models also usually has some of these kits for sale. The names on the kits are the names from the original Macross series (ex. Gluag Pod is a Marauder) so it pays to look at the pictures to decide which mechs you want.

I just remembered......Iron Wind also produces what they call "Museum Scale" 'mechs.....there isn't many to chose from, but they're larger than the rpg mini's.....around 4 inches or so.
