Posted by Anonymous on Friday, August 27, 2004 3:20 AM
Okay folks, there are just three days to go until the 'British are Coming' competition ends on SFM:uk ( http://www.scifimodels.org.uk )

Remember, all you have to do is send Alun some pics of your model ) with a bit of writeup etc and you could win some mega prizes. Your model does not necessarily have to have been built specially for the comp, but it does have to fit the British theme

I cannot understand why enyone would NOt enter!!

Come on gang, help support a British sci-fi modelling site and get goodies into the bargain. It doesn't mean we don't love this site anymore!!

Lets have a major comp!!

Unfortunately I can not accept personal cheques which are not drawn on a UK bank account.

If you choose an entry from a very obscure subject please provide some verification of the British connection.
Judging will be by a voting system which will be open once the closing date is reached.
Models which were not constructed specifically for the competition or have been displayed on this or other websites are eligible for entry. Please note that this is a rule change.
Depending on the number and type of entries received classes will be assigned nearer to the closing date.

Judging

All entries will be posted onto the web within 7 days of the close of the competition. No entries will be posted ahead of this time.
The winners will be decided by popular vote based on the images and details submitted by the entrants, with voting open to all site visitors.
Each vote must be from a valid email address which will be verified once the vote has been cast.
You may change your vote at any time during the voting period but you can not vote again.
All votes must be cast before no later than 12:01am BST on Monday 20th September 2004.
A voting form will be posted once all entries have been received.
In addition to the popular vote winners there are other prizes which will be awarded based on the inidividuals totally subjective decision. These are from Chris Ford and the Editors Choice.
Should it be necessary separate classes will be created this will be done by SFM:uk with entrants informed of the classes which they have been allocated to prior to seeing other entries in that class. Once they have been posted onto the site it will not be possible to change the class.
Prizes will be sent at SFM:uk's cost to winners based within the UK. However, oveaseas winners are asked to note that they will need to make a contribution towards the postage costs which is equivalent to the difference between the actual cost and the cost of sending the prize within the UK.
