A one of a kind model beautifully done. I really like the surface textures and weathering. Cool [8D]

That is great, Douglas Adams was one of my favorite authors, a great story teller. Nice to see somebody else likes the sereis as much as me (or maybe more since you actually built a model from the books, something I don't plan on doing). Looks just like the description, "the Vogon construction ship hung in the sky, much the same way a brick doesn't."

Now that is cool!

I have only heard part of the radio version of the HHGTTG, on the radio on WBAI years and years ago in the middle of the night, but it included the initial part of the series, and I remember the Vogons with fondness. The model really does capture the way the ships, and the Vogons themselves, are described. And it looks very English-sci-fi, so that's a plus too.

Good luck with the kit!

Excellent work , Paul! I read the first 2 books of the Hitchhiker series by Douglas Adams and loved them too. What a great tribute with a beautiful build.

Regards, Dan

As the old adage goes about someone seeing the F-4 Phantom for the first time, "If its engine is big enough, even a brick can fly!".

Excellent job, specially after having little reference.

Happy Kitbashing,

I never did really get into Dirk Gently et al. BUt Hitchhikers is a hard act to follow.
Of course we will see someone else's interpretation of a vogon ship whenthe movie comes out.

This Vogon ship has exactly the right sort of ugliness we would expect of the worst poets in the galaxy! Outstanding work. I want to start doing scratchbuilds and kitbashes myself, and work like yours is a good resource.
