Two More PL Trek Kits In The Works
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 7:38 AM
The following was posted by Dave Metzner:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Captain America is done.
The biggest hold up has been a kit too big to fit the box size we'd originally planned. The box size has been fixed and the kit is ready to produce. The kit will be shipping soon.
I expect to have final approval kits in production boxes in my hands this week.

The Big Enterprise is being tooled now. I am expecting test shots to be delivered to me in the first week or so of October. I'm sure that it will not be done for October shipment from the Orient but hope to see it in stores before the end of the year.

I also expect to have first test shots of the Star Trek Nemesis Scorpion before the end of September.

The mock-up of the first 2005 Trek kit is also due in my hands berfore the end of the month.

The 1964 GTO kit is making good progress. I expect painted samples in my hands within the next week.

I have several other car projects on my agenda as well as another Trek kit for 2005.

Let's hope it all works out.

actually that is great news the Star Trek projects that PL are working on are going through as planned and I will be interested in what the new Trek kit will be will it be the TOS Enterprise in 1/350th scale or will it be the USS Reliant also in 1/350th scale if it is Reliant I would be interested in seeing if they have 1 or 2 clear pieces per warp Nacel (you know if you want to do it up as a TNG era Miranda Class starship) and if its the enterprise well lets just say Ill have to stock up on lights wire and solder Big Smile [:D]
of course a Romulan Bird of Prey or Klingon Battlecruiser in 1/350th scale wouldnt hurt either.Big Smile [:D]

On the workbench: Dragon 1/350 scale Ticonderoga class USS BunkerHill 1/720 scale Italeri USS Harry S. Truman 1/72 scale Encore Yak-6

The 71st Tactical Fighter Squadron the only Squadron to get an Air to Air kill and an Air to Ground kill in the same week with only a F-15 http://photobucket.com/albums/v332/Mikeym_us/

It seems that the cat is out of the bag already. According to reliable sources they will be:

1/1000 NX-01

1/350 K'tinga (with parts for a Star Trek VI version)

Should have official news soon.

My wifw is going to have a cow when she sees both the 1:350 Battle Cruiser and E-A suspended from the ceiling. Second thought, she may suspend me from the ceiling instead.Big Smile [:D]
