(There is no Smilie for " - weird -" !!!)
Which is how I'm feeling. Best I can do is Gomer Pyle's "Well gahhh-lee..."
"Shucks" might come close.
I have just been contacted via email by an actual paleontologist -
more specifically, an expert on prehistoric whales! He wants more pictures of my model to put in an exhibit in November! See:
I saw your model of Basilosaurus on the web and was very impressed with its accuracy. I am the curator of paleontology at Georgia Southern Museum (Statesboro, GA) and am currently in charge of the scientific content for our revised Hall of Natural History. I am currently looking for a an image to put in our exhibit to accompany an actual Basilosaurus vertebra we have.
I like the job I did. You like it. And my friends here in town like it.
But to have an actual "for-real" expert give me kudos has me feeling
.
I am
very flattered! And
thrilled!
But if you would have asked me, I would have said, "Never in a million years."
