Is AMT re issuing some of the old ones? Just curious because I saw this:

Stevens International is also listing them so it looks like it's legit.

Excellent! I found my old model of the MILLENNIUM FALCON when I cleaning out my storage room. I thought it might be kind of funto rebuild it. I'll have to keep my eye on this.

it would be nice to get my hands on some of the old kits. they aren't very well done but i'd like to be able to get a hold of them for a decent price. i'm not spending $100. or better to buy a kit that i'm going to build.i don't buy for collecting purposes i buy strictly to build. as for the kits being re-released the key phrase is"out of stock".add an expect date and then i might believe.

I visit that site pretty often, and about a week ago those kits were not even listed. I think they list all there new incoming stuff as "out of stock". Also did anyone notice the item called Episode III new tooling, what could that be?

Well, they are listed here too, so I guess they will be doing Star Wars again. Very cool news!

It probably has something to do with the original trilogy being released on DVD. Star Wars stuff is all over the toy sections in stores and such.

I was thinking along those same lines, but that some of the old releases might be in Episode 3. I would think that these kits are still several months away from being released, and Episode 3 is still 6 months away.

If you ever pass by the Philippines jimmyd30 then I'm sure you wont regret it. Those AMT kits are not ard to find here in the Philippines, in fact they even have the old Battlestar Galactica series of models (from Revell I think), 1/350 Star Trek Models, and of course the Star Wars series of models and comparing the price from the US they're about 50% cheaper.
