Star Wars Paper Models Anyone?

I came across these searching for something else. Don't know if
you have seen these before or not but figured I would post them
anyway:

Anyone got a wide carriage printer. The bigger the better. LOL

Anyone ever tried to use these types of templates to try and cut
out styrene pieces instead of paper/cardstock?

Would still be flat detail but maybe they can be used as a starting
point for scratch building.

Not sure. I gather as thick as will work in your printer.
Maybe someone else knows.

Also, Forgot to add. If you back up the URL to the main site
they have a general sci-fi part. Some Star Trek, Back To The Future, and the Huey, Dewey, and Lewie from Silent Running.

My wife makes a lot of paper models she uses the 160 grams "ironed" paper, ironed means it's kind of satin looking instead of matt.

I have been thinking of using some of those parts as templates, but still haven't done it. However I built one of those paper Tie-fighters, a Y-wing fighter and a AT-AT, look great.
The wife spent about a month making a 1:1 scale M41 rifle from Alien, very impressive hanging against our wall.

I am in the process of building a few of those kits.

Printed the sheets out on a colour laser and glued them into thicker paper from the arts-supply store.

Using the templates for making one out of styrene, I think it would depend on how the finished section would be in 3D.

Said that I am in te process of doing just that, some sections I use the template others i sculpt or carve balsafoam to the desired shape.
