Gundam camouflage

So it just struck me that what might be fun would be to do a Gundam in a "traditional" black/green/brown camo pattern. Has anyone done anything like this?

Not on a Gundam Model perse, but a LOT on Dougram, Orguss, Mospeada & Macross Kits.

Go for it, there are always different colour schemes shown in the japanese publications too.

I think I've seen some before...

It'd work great on a ground suit, well, hopeing the trees and such are tall enough to cover it (I assume if it were kneeling... )

In this case, a GM Sniper fits in fine, but eh, any Gundam'll work fine! Just need a little imagination, and you'll have your camoed Gundam in no time!

I've done them in desert tan, green/brown, grey on gray. Never been much for the bright colors on mechs.

One of my grails is to paint a gundam up in a reproduction of the Viet Nam tiger stripe camo.

I have a BattleTech book that has some of the Mech's done in a camo of browns and greens along the bottom and sky type colors on the upper body (greys, blues, etc) to help it blend with the vegetation due to the height of the mech. Always wanted to do that scheme.

Now that's a cool idea!

I absolutely love the Votms designs, you can do a LOT of things with them.
But stay away from the 1/24 scale plastic kits, the 1/35 are way better in my Opinion.
