Snowspeeder wanted!
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 12:12 AM
Anyone know where or how I could lay my hands on a Snowspeeder Kit.

Pls, don't mention e-bay(yuck) as most of the guys on there refuse to ship/sell to people outside the USA and insist on paypal(double yuck) payment.

Thanks, in advance for any tips/suggestions.

I think that the snowspeeder is one of the kits listed in the re-release for next year. You will have more options then.

Didn't know that, hope that they retooled the kit to solve the probs on it.

On the other hand one can always hope for a Fine Molds kit of the same subject, but I think that will come after the Millenium Falcon only.

I would also not mind a good set of scale plans drawings of said model so that I could scratchbuild one.

BTW, any model kit of a snowspeeder will do, no probs with a resin kit or similar.

man that would be something if Fine Molds did the Falcon in 1/72 scale it was already a big kit when it was done by AMT

On the workbench: Dragon 1/350 scale Ticonderoga class USS BunkerHill 1/720 scale Italeri USS Harry S. Truman 1/72 scale Encore Yak-6

The 71st Tactical Fighter Squadron the only Squadron to get an Air to Air kill and an Air to Ground kill in the same week with only a F-15 http://photobucket.com/albums/v332/Mikeym_us/

Where you from ModelMuseum? I've seen some old AMT Snowspeeder kits here in the Philippines a couple of years back. If you're still interested then I can probably check it out for you. There are still a lot of those old kits lying around here if you know where to look at.

Hey Model,
I live in Japan, Fukuoka.. I am right between Tokyo and Seoul.. Actually closer to Seoul I think.......9 years in Business consultancy, but now living the simple life as a teacher, as my wife wanted to move back close to her family.. If you are looking for anyone to do some work in this region, give me a holla!

As for the Snowspeeder kit, a friend in the States just picked it up.. He is always on the look out for different kits.. I can ask him to keep an eye out.. . As for Fine Molds.. I think they are done with the Star Wars kits.. If they were to do any more, I am sure that we would have heard something by now!.. They may surprise us, but dont hold your breath...

Hi Chris.

Thanks, for your post. I will try the different 2nd-hand shops I know in and around tokyo first (Mandarake, Times, etc) and see what they got left.

FYI, I stumbled across this today and remembered your post. I think this is the one cobywan was talking about in his reply.

I will have to look to be sure though, it cane as a set of plans and blueprints along with some of the other star wars craft. I also have the same stuff for the original star trek ships. scout class/dreadnaught class/ tugs and the like.

Didja ever get one, MM?
I found one at an LHS for 3,500 Yen. It's at that same shop I told you about a while ago that has the Maximillion kit.
Here's the weblink:

i might be able to help you out with drawings. I blueprinted the snowspeeder and built a 3d model of it to layout patterns for a future scratch building project.

Probuilder,

Are those blueprints white on blue in a big blue envelope? I had a set of those things but I think someone pinched them. Haven't seen them in many years
