SMT 1/48 resin Y-Wing

Great kit, realtively easy to build for a garage kit.
VERY detailed. Alfred Wong must have gone insane detailing the masters for this puppy.

Since my Dad passed away I've been adding his old squadron emblem to some of my sci fi builds as a tribute. So the 333rd FS emblem adorns the nose of my Y-Wing.

Fantastic job!! I especially like the TIE fighter 'kills' on the side of the fuselage.

Hey John, nice job on that Y. Did you add anything extra to it to enhance it at all? I image it's pretty good right out of the box.

Sweet, I never did understand why they didn't do a injection molded kit of that. Just as nice a looking bird as the x-wing.

You're right! An injection molded kit was very missed, and it didn't make sense that some of the other things would get made and not the Y-Wing.

There was an injection kit, wasn't there? But it was a crappy little snap-kit.

Martin - no, no extras. right out of the box, plus some homemade decals. The kit comes with landing gear, btw, I just wanted it in flight.

John, I was just surfing the forum and ran across your "Y". Very nice! Cool [8D] Aren't you building a Fighter for the Sci-Fi group build?

I don't like to indulge in planned groups and contests, really, I just like to build what I feel like, when I feel like. Ya know? :)

JohnP,
I'm sooo jealous! The kit was discontinued (due to pressure from Lucas) before I could get one. The "Y" is my favorite bird from the movie. Great Job!
