Bandai's Voyager on the shelves (in Japan)!

This might be old news for Star Trek fans, but Bandai's latest in its series of illuminated and pre-painted Star Trek ships, the Voyager, was in the LHS today. At 7,140 yen (about $68 USD), it's their most expensive Star Trek kit to date.
The kit looks great in the box. I can't recall what the scale is, but you can build it in several flight and landing modes: in flight with variable-postion nacelles, in "landing mode" with limp feet hanging down awaiting touchdown, and "landed mode," with feet firmly planted on the surface.

Should be available everywhere soon, and especially from Hobby Link Japan!

Now, where's my D? Isn't anyone gonna release a reasonably priced D???

Yes I saw it here in Fukuoka J-Hulk... Its a big box.. I have the other 3, and the box is twice the size.. So if I remember correctly, it is the same as the E-A, and NX, at 1/850 scale.. So if Voyager is that big, then the E-A must have been a tiny ship in reality!

According to the HLJ it is front heavy and won't stay on it's legs.

They recommend either using the stand for gear extended or doing a mod to the kit to balance the weight.

And, yes, the E-A was actually quiet small.

The NCC-1701 (Constitution class) and the refitted NCC-1701A were only the length of the warp nacelles of the Galaxy Class ships NCC-1707D, the Voyager is about half the size of the Galaxy Class ships.

Makes you realise just how big the Sovereign class NCC-1701E is as it is bigger than the Galaxy class ships!

cheers

Yeah Kirks ship was tiny.. But what a ship hey!.. Still my favourite... Another thing that I noticed, is that all the aliens ships got bigger at the same time the Federations did.. Considering the Federation was the last to go to space, we seemed to be able to keep up with the other alien races... Now why is that?

Hey Reggie.. Just wait until Feb, and then you will have a new one comming out in 1/350 scale from Polar Lights (Although thats if it ever gets released, and not pushed back anymore).. It should run around the $50 mark.. I have a friend in the States organising mine..

So your in Singapore.. I love that place!.. Always hot.. Comming from a tropical environment back home in Australia, I prefer the heat.. Every year I freeze my gonads off here in Japan in winter.. I dont know why I stay.. Maybe Singapore might be on the cards?

I get mine from Federation Models http://www.federationmodels.com/ and have been very pleased. Their prices aren't the lowest in the world, but their service and selection are hard to beat.
