sweet diorama, joker! What is a good on-line store to get Gundam and Robotech kits? I am primarily armor and aircraft and this will be my first foray into this subject. Also, what kind of paints do you use? All advice is welcome!

Hi armorman, I buy my macross and dougram kits by ebay. I use only Revell and Humbrol paints for my kits.

Very nice diorama! MUCH better than anything I can do!
One question, though, why do you call it a Battletech Diorama when there isn't any Battletech stuff in it? I know a few companies make resin BattleMechs and OmniMechs...

@TenchiMuyo81:

In the Battletech universe, the Tank is a 40 ton Hetzer and the Mech a 55 ton Wolverine. The Troops come from House Kurita and Steiner.

Oh, in that case, nice effort!!! That
Anyone know where I can get large(bigger than 5mm) waterslide decals of Clan Wolf logos? I want to make my 1/144 scale B-52 Airplane a Clan Wolf: Alpha Galaxy unit, but the only BTech decal seller I know of only makes 5mm and smaller decals!!
BTW, that Dougram Blockhead DOES look like a wolverine!

Killer diorama!!
I remember building that kit(the mech) when I was 12 from the old Revell-Robotech line!
Never looked that good though!
Is there anybody else out there that wishes those kits would come back?
Granted they are not up tot eh Master Grade level, but they sure were fun to build!
Again, GREAT job!

Heard a rumor that Bandai was going to rerelease some of the Macross stuff. No info on when or if or what scale or anything. Since most of the Macross stuff was the basis for Battletech, I am keeping my fingers crossed (and toes, and eyes) that they do some of the 1/72nd stuff. Would love to add a Rifleman, Warhammer, and Marauder to my collection without paying those collectors prices on ebay.

Sweet diorama!! I'm a big fan of the Battletech universe, but i've never tried modelling any of the BT kits. I always thought they looked too toy-like, but your diorama just proved me wrong. I might have to get me a kit or two and see what happens.

You can find some of that on ebay, seen 3 or 4 1/72 Rifleman pop up over the last few days. Price usually goes from $20 to $70 depending on how bad someone wants it. I paid about 40 for a 1/100 officers battle pod/marauder. The thing is scaled to the robotech series and not necessarily to BT universe. Its huge and roughly matches my 1/48 dougram Jakt (BT ShadowHawk in size) and towers over my 1/100 tomohawk (BT warhammer) . You can also check out a sight called Marcs Models, he usually has stuff in the 1/72 scale that you are looking for, but it is very pricey. Good hunting. Big Smile [:D]
