Review of Bandai 1/12 Kaneda's Bike (Akira)
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 6:54 PM
As you guys know I got the above for X-Mas from a friend.

Just want to give a quick review for the fans of Akira and those who haven't got that Item yet. Yeah, I know not a Kit, but the best representation of the Bike out there.

So what do you get:
The Bike, Kaneda Figure and 3 spare body panels.
Most of the Body panels can be removed(snap on/off) to build a "naked Bike" (now those I like) or any version in between that's where the optional body parts come in.

The Bike also has quiet a few moveable parts:
Wheels turn
Shocks work(front and read)
Front of the Bike pivots up for easy rider access
Headlight pops up
Bike stand is also foldable

Overall a very nice and accurate presentation of the Bike(wish that the stering would work but that I guess was a bit too costly to do.

HTH.

Seen it at Super Kid's Land, and it indeed looks pretty cool.

How's Tokyo treating you, MM? You're here for a coupla more weeks, right?

Thanks for the review. I saw a combo bike/rider kit a couple of months ago, but I think that might have been from McFarlane toys, and not the bandai one. Still had to get it though Big Smile [:D]

Not too well, it is gave me a horrible cold. Currently doped to the gills with medication.

Yeah, I will still be here for another 2 or 3 weeks.

Yeah, McFarlane released their version quiet some time ago. There are a few items of the Bike out there but I think the Bandai one is most accurate and detailed one.
