Bandi A really FUN kit.
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, January 4, 2005 2:43 AM
It took 6 months and cost more that any tank i've built, but man was it worth it. This kit has so much detail I hated putting the armor plates on, but the cool thing is that they do come back off. Bandi has put so much thought into this kit. Anyway here's some rough pics, I will put some better ones on when I get a chance.

And Hello yall.

Yes, its the "II". How old is the "I". I ask cause i'd like to try and find one to build, a one and a two side by side would look pertty cool. Or in a dio with damaged building, YEAH!Tongue [:P]
And Thanks.

The one is old .. But they also have a Zaku III.. In green aswell!.. I plan on doing 3 of them myself soon.. Here is a picture of my RM-106 HI-ZACK. But I have heavily customed the hoses, and changed all the yellow parts to white!

My Zaku I HiZack

The 1/144 Zaku III.. I think I have also seen this one in the green!

But I must say that I am more a fan of the Ginns and thier varients.. Also a big fan of the brand new Zaku Warriors from Gundam Seed/Destiny.. They really make the old Zaku look really out dated!

Nice work, you guys! Zakus are the coolest part of the Gundam universe, in my opinion.
By the way, it's "BANDAI," not "BANDI." Let's not forget the "A!"

Thanks for posting the great builds!

My bad. BANDAISign - Oops [#oops]. Just wondering does Bandai put this much detail in any other Gundam kits. Or just in the Masters, or am I off base. By detail I mean, can you remove the armor on other kits to show the detail of the inside like on the Zaku II. Thanks for the replys.

Sorry to be the strict school marm, and I don't usually correct spelling (an impossible task on the internet anyway), but I reckon we should at least get company names right, eh?Wink [;)]

By the way, it looks like we've lost the links to your pix...did you have them on the RonGeorge gallery? If so, they may have been sorted from the upload zone to the Sci Fi zone. Time to re-link!

I wonder though... you might like the resin Five Star Stories kits that have the clear armor (Well, translucent... ) So you can see the mechanical bits under it... They're expensive, though... Only bad part....

Let's see in order of detail there's:
1/144 scale kits, not sure if any are classified as HG
High Grade: HG kits have reasonable articulation, but don't have the internal "skeleton"
Master Grade: Have removable armor and the skeleton, and good articulation (not sure about hand articulation in each finger though...)
Perfect Grade: Hellaciously expensive, but have extreme detail and articulation, moreso than the MG kits.

At my level, the MG kits are more than enough but I aim to get a PG Wing Zero Custom eventually.

If any of my information is incorrect, please feel free to flame/hack me apart as you see fit... I'm no pro, those are just my observations. Black Eye [B)]

EDIT: BTW, NICE job on the kit, looks great!

Not all, there are quiet a few kits in 1/144 that are not part of the HG series.
The same way not all 1/100 are MG kits and not all 1/60 are PG kits.

WOW what have I got myself into...Thanks guys, and thank you Clumsy I've seem the words PG, MG floating around, and was wondering. Now that I think about it the box at home has the MG on it and now it all makes since. I saw a mention of the Gundam tank and that would be VERY KWELL. Please keep E-mailing Bandai, as so will I.

I am still waiting for a MG Zaku-Tank. Big Smile [:D]
Their old 1/144 kit is ok, but it would be way better in 1/100.

Doubt that many of the newcomers to Gundam will know the design so I am posting an image of the box-art here:

No problem, glad I could help a bit! Since I learned this info, I know what to look for from here on out.
