Daedalus Class

Hello, everyone! I'm a new member, although I've been lurking here for quite some time, following the group builds mainly. You guys do some impressive work. I thought I'd show you my latest project - the masters for a 1:1,000th scale kit of the Daedalus Class from "Star Trek." It is a conjectural pre-Kirk starship adapted by Greg Jein from one of Matt Jefferies' unused designs for the original Enterprise. It has only been seen on screen briefly, as a decoration in Commander Sisko's office on Deep Space Nine. Perhaps it will appear on the new show "Enterprise" some time.

My model is constructed using basic styrene, ABS, and acrylic shapes from Plastruct. The most difficult aspect so far has been scribing lines into the acrylic hemispheres accurately. Let me know what you think, and I will continue to post updates on this project. Ciao!

Hello Lauren, As always top notch work. The Deadalus is one of my all time favorite ships. Let me know if you need any pics, I have tons. Wink [;)]
