THER MAY NOT BE andy custom Battlestars. There are a few models built with new and better detail. But they are individual builds. Not better products. If you want a custom you should build a custom.

Here are some alternate designs done by fans. They are cool by themselves;

The original BSG was ruining the Mormon mythology. It wasn't really it's own myth to be ruined by the new show.

Nice ships but please... give me the old ones. One of the best things about BG is tha fact that it ended when it should, not like the X files or other miniseries... i drove my sunday school teacher nuts becouse instead of doing what i should i was drawing the ships of BG. I live in Portugal and we never got here the revel-monogram ships and i´m like crazy in ebay trying to by one at a decent price... in my opinion they are ruinig a myth, but that's just my opinion

I'm betting on Polar Lights. Unless Revell/Monogram still owns the liscense. They had re-issued original series kits a few years ago.

Everything onscreen that isn't a set is CGI. The crew at Zoic went out of thier way to recreate these ships for the miniseries. I believe almost every Galactica minature from the original production are in the hands of private collectors.

Ok, I'm feeling giddy. I saw the miniseries for the first time last night and I'm hooked. WHEN DO WE GET MODELS OF THESE THINGS!!!!???!!!!

Good-looking stuff! The Viper is very nice, and almost unchanged from the original design. I like the new Cylon Basestar, but the Raider is just a Batwing! The original design was much cooler.
Thanks for all the links.

The new Viper looks pretty decent can't say I care for the new Galactica or any of the Cylon designs.

Said that give me the original designs they looked a bit more practical and less designed for looks. Wink [;)]

Couldn't see anything. The site kept trying to download something to my 'puter. I'd love to see some BG kits released or re-released, though! - Calvin

and the Galactica pretty much uses the graceful lines of the original series Galactica and the Cylon BaseStars dont have the applecore look anymore. dont care much for the new Cylon Raiders though. and the new twist of having the higher level Cylons look like real humans now that really is a twist since one of the charachters in the series is a Pilot in the Colonial military and she is a Cylon but probably a "good guy" cylon.

Just lump them onto the big heap of "someday" ideas. I did like the new agro-ship, not just a re-used Valley Forge.
