A is for april.the delivery of polar lights new enterprise has been pushed back to April. Is anyone else chomping at the bit waiting for this release? Early pictures of the kit look very promising.i see the possibility of this ship being mounted over the TV in the living room once it's completed. of course i'll need my wife's approval. iwas hoping it actually was released in february so i could possibly work it in as a birthday present.......oh well.Wink [;)]

I'm not going to get too excited until I see it on the store shelf. Is it there yet? Tongue [:P]

I've had mine pre-ordered, It's a really good feeling when you switch from a girlfriend that gets mad at you for going to the hobby-shop to a girlfriend that wants you to build her models. In fact she payed for my Enterprise-A for an early birthday present....I think I'm going to keep her.

Well this whole subject is a very big sore point for me.. I will be buying one, for the pure fact that I have been waiting for a ship of this scale to be released.. But I will be handing over my cash while biting my tongue.. I really dont think that Polar Lights have really earned my business in the fact that they have constantly pushed the release date back so many times.. They got alot of interest in this kit. But I really dont think that they understood the size of a project like this, and well, have proved that they simply cant handle something of this size, in the time that they had originally planned!

I for one have stopped thinking about it being released for the simple fact that every time I get ready for the big day, I am again met with dissapointment.. Now it will be April.. A few months shy of a year for the original releas date.. Hhmmm has it been that long?.. Yep!.. I have also been bagged on other boards for speaking my mind.. But I simply refuse to be a sheep, and just say what the next guy says.. (Its ok to be dissapointed again, I can wait) Blah.. I can wait also.. But Its like ordering a meal, and the waiter keeps pushing it back 5 mins, and then another 5 mins.. You really start to question what is going on with your food?.. After a while, you give up in hunger, and walk out... Polar Lights knows that this kit is what everyone has dreamed about, and so, they know they can fart ****** around in doing it.. That in my opinion is just not good business... I think when licenses are given to companies. Then they should always give 2 licenses to 2 rival companies.. That way we would get better kits, and they would want to have them released as soon as possible.. When only one company has the rights, they can pretty well know that they can do and say what they want!

Will lets not forget that they where bought out by RC2- AMT/Ertl so there maybe some delays not in the plan as far as Polar Lights goes. At this point with the lack of intrest in sci-fi subjects on the part of the industry as a whole I can wait...OK the wait is over I want the kit!Big Smile [:D]

Just out of curiosity does anyone know where you can get those "Starfleet Academy" college style stickers for your back winsheild? I'm 19 and just finished paying off my car and thought that it could use a personal touch.

You say that you want to give your car a personal touch, and before you know it, you have painted your car with an aztec pattern with red Starfleet pinstriping, and a registry number on the hood!..Dont do it!.. jokes...

well i was going to be a little low-key about it but... where would you guys mount some phaser banks? I was going to put the photon torpedo launcher right in the front grill, thought it'd look pretty sweet. and some speed holes... gotta have speed holes... yeah I'm going to get right on that. Maybe I'll get a 1701 lisence plate... Oh the possibllities.

No, I'm happy with the one I have. She actually sat down and watched the star trek movies with me when my ex would have nothingto do with it and seemed to allmost get mad at me for liking it. Iono maybe she wanted me to be one of those skater kids who go around ruining everything and wonder why people hate them.

What new Enterprise kit. You mean the one my customers have been waiting for for about a year. It does not exist. It is a myth, like unicorns or honest polititians. at any rate I would put the power cell for the phaser bank in the trunk along with my golf clubs. If the computor gets confused it will launch a nine iron up someones tailpipe but the police officer would have a fun time writing the reportBig Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D] And if anyone knows any single women who have long wiry hair and coke bottle glasses, some of us like thatApprove [^]Approve [^]

April is here! Does anyone know of any new info on this kit? Maybe if we all start sending emails to Polar Lights they will get the hint that people want this kit. Grumpy [|(]

I for one want this kit maybe two...

My first model in 20 years was / is the NX-01 (about 90%done). I have loved putting it together. I think I will get another one just so I can do it again when my skills are up to creating a real show piece. Already I made a couple small mistakes and rushed a couple parts. The end result is a very nice model, with a few blemishes only I, or someone from this forum, would notice. So I want to pick up another NX-01 while they are still available. I wil probably pick up a couple 1701-A's one for now and one for later (or Ebay in a couple years).

The only bad part is these are so HUGE I have no idea where I will put them when I am done. If this is really the last Hurrah from Polar Lights, I hope its as good as everyone wishes.
