Any of you guys attempt to build the resin conversion for the AMT/Ertl TIE Interceptor by the Fourth Axis? Got mine and I'm thinking of tackling it this week.

Ha! I'd never heard of this before, so I did a little web surfing -- just check this out!

Company's webpage for the tank:

What a great idea! One thing, though. I think the secret reason the Empire fell wasn't the derring do of Luke and Leia and Han and all those guys -- it was because the Empire didn't realize that the front facing of its armoured vehicles shouldn't be plexiglas! Smile [:)]

I ran into a slight problem, the two TIE Interceptor kits I had were already built. One was built stock, the other was kit bashed along with the Estes Darth Vader TIE Fighter rocket kit to make a model of the TIE Advanced.

Not to worry, my local hobby shop had a gold plated TIE Interceptor (at a collector price though). The required parts are currently soaking in a zip lock bag covered with Easy Off oven cleaner to remove the gold chrome.

I'll be able to start the kit tonight.
