Looks a lot like the Hospital ship from TNG... can't remember the name... Olympic Class? But that's what it looks like to me.

Awesome job, though!

I scratchbuilt a Coventry Class last year. It was fun...

The U.S.S. Alkibiades NX 1790 looks like an experimental Starfleet design. Perhaps the first ship to experiment with the 10 or even 20 year mission profile. I was recently reading the Next Gen tech manual and they talk about 100 year operating envelopes. The Galaxy clas could have started in part with this ship. I like the wedge shaped hull and wat to see it when she is done. Just a suggestion on the origin Big Smile [:D]

Thanks for the kind words! I'm not sure what purpose the wedge-shaped hull serves, but it looks neat. I intend on putting the impulse outlets at the very end of the wedge, so perhaps most of the internal volume is taken up by "hotrodded" engine components.

Very nice, Lauren!

What function does the very wedge-shaped secondary hull serve?

I must get around to building your TRITIUM kit.
And maybe kitbashing my own 1000th scale StarTrek ship...

After all this time, I've finally gotten around to doing the inevitable Polar Lights TOS Enterprise kitbash, some progress pics of which can be seen here: http://laurenoliver.tripod.com/models/trek/alk.html The only part from another kit is the circular base from AMT/Ertl's Trade Federation Tank, with the name sanded off. The rest of the build is sheet styrene.
