Stargate SG1 F-302 details
Posted by awan on Saturday, February 5, 2005 1:47 PM
Has anyone here seen Stargate SG1: Redemption Part II? If you have, you would know what I am talking about. That cool plane that O'Neil flies the Stargate in, the F-302, err....X-302. Has anyone ever made a model of it? Can anyone send me some line/ technical/ blueprint drawings? I may want to scratchbuild a model of this plane in 1/48 or 1/32 scale. Does this plane use parts from any other models? (Kitbash, maybe?)

Thanks

Anthony,

To the best of my knowledge, no one makes an X-302 model as yet. In fact, there are only 4 SG-1 models that I've seen commercially produced: A Cargo ship, Death Glider, Gate itself, and a Zat Gun. All of these are resin kits produced by WARP models in the UK. They are all extremely expensive!

As for line / technical / blueprint drawings, you're going to have a problem here as well. I'm pretty sure that all of the ships on SG-1 are computer generated and unless someone has taken the time to develop their own drawings, they're just not available. The CAD versions of the ships are not available to the public because SG-1 is still in production. Your only real option is to use DVD captures to scratchbuild your own version.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help...

I've also seen the 1:1 staff weapon . VERY expensive though.

Might check Federation models or culttvman. Ya never know.
You could also contact Alfred Wong

If he's interested he might bring forth his Godlike powers and produce a resin kit

I e-mailed him. I asked if he would produce a limited-run type kit. You guys are interested in this right? I told him that quite a number of people at FSM's forum would like a kit like this. I asked for a price around $40. Lets cross out fingers and wait for his reply. Bow [bow]Bow [bow]Bow [bow]Thumbs Up [tup]Tongue [:P]

That might be a little low for an alfred original unless you want it 1:72 or smaller
With my shaky hands 1:48 or larger is what I like to build. I think thats his favorite
as well since alot of his work is in that scale

I can't recall the name at the moment, but I wouldn't mind seeing the SGC starship
produced as well. That thing is soo ugly, I'd love to have it sitting on my shelf.
But somewhere around ?1:350?

I think Alfred said that he was making a 1/48 kit of it. He says that it will be around that price that I requested. He's not sure yet exactly when he will be finished. He is current;y researching with his cast maker person-guy. Tongue [:P]

That ugly ship is the Prometheus (the one that Daniel was fighting that lady on) It's official codename is the X-303 It is the first earth ship capable of interstellar travel.
