                        Hello

                        I just saw this posting on Ebay;

                        It is a resin kit for the Thunderbolt from B5 in 1 /72 scale (same size as the Starfury).

                        While I don't thin i am quite ready to tackle a resin kit at this moment, this just went high, HIGH up on my list.

                        Does anyone know anything about Studio 2 Models? Do they make a decent kit?

                        While I am asking silly questions, just how much more difficult is resin to work with?

                        Look closely at the cover sheet. It states "Not suitable for inexperianced modelers"
                        Thats pretty much what I've heard about that kit.

                        I've got a Studio2 Hammerhead from Space: Above and Beyond.

                        I'll have to go "above and beyond" to build/fix it, and I'm not joking.

                        Word to the wise, IMO, that is.

                        I found my studio2 quite labor intensive, but great fun. The hardest thing I found with resin kits is that I broke the parts easily. I used a file on the second kit I did then sanded the teeth marks afterwards--this seemed to help. Can you ask the seller of the model you're looking at if there are any offset mold lines or pinholes or bubbles? I had slight pin holes with one of my studio2s. I've stuck with Tamiya putty and epoxy--am faithful to both--for all resin kits.

                        Thank you for the replies.

                        II was considering this just to have until my skills where up to the challenge. It sounds like this would difficult even after some practice. While this is still high on my drool list, I think I will wait a bit before I pick one up.
