Um dude, you can conceal seams with glue :p Just glue it, let it dry, and sand off the excess....

As for colors, I just paint mine grey :D (Own custom scheme pretty much... )

Depends on the glue. Liquid glues aren't always the best a gap filling. But Akuma has a point -use gap filling glues to make your work easier.

For appropriate colors, you may need to do some searches for Gundam sites.

I said the method used in constructing the kits (Snap tite) isn't conductive in hiding the seams. I'm well aware if I glue the kits together I can sand them to remove seams...I've been building models for probably 25 years! This is, in fact, what I intend to do...

Honesty i'd just do an image search and match it by eye. I use the the military Testors/model Master colors such as olive drab and desert sand on mine from the rattle can. As far as joint sealing super glu and sanding works but i no longer use that method. I now use severval of the different "plastic welds' suchas Ambroid and Tannex. They dry much faster than CA glue [super glue] and and then i sand the joints. the draw back to plastic welds is that they are toxic! They do make a "safe weld" that is a non-toxic plastic weld but as with all "safe products" I have tried is not work as well (slower drying time). But hey there is nothing wrong with the safe weld if you are more patient than I. It works with most plastics and is still faster than CA in some cases it's just that once you use something like Tennax (or is it Tenax/Tenex?) with a drying time of 1 about 10 seconds it's hard to go back. Not to scare you but you seem to be a young modeler Garrand, so once again thse plastic welds are toxic and are carcinogens (cancer causing) so read the lable and use at your own risk and use carefully!

Martiangundammodeller, reread my previous post. I personally prefer Plastruct Plastic Weld , and yes, I know the toxicity of these things...one of my gaming buddies is a Materials Sciences Engineer...!

I got you now! It's just the way it read, sorry about that >.<

Also, check out the Gunze Sangyo line of paints... they acturally make lines JUST for certain Gundam/Mecha.... Hopefully the Zaku set is still in production....

Edit: Also, modern day Gundam kits seem to be much better in the seam hideing department (IE hidden in the mechs natual panel lines ) It's pretty cool, though glue would probably still help in spots...

Sorry Damon, no offense meant. When i started typing that post the other posts were not present. Since i was posting from work at the time that post was typed off and on over the course of an hour !LOL So when i sent it i didn't know you had already responded. So again I apologize.
