Here are some shots of an illuminated E-C I've been working on. Flashing 2 stage navigation lights and strobe at rear of bridge.

That looks great! How did you light her up? All the non-round windows would rule out fiber optics, wouldn't it? I need to steal your secret!

Again, looks fantastic.

I still need to paint the phaser banks, clean up the nacell grills, detail the deflector dish, decals, and probably something else that eludes me at this moment.

Enjoy.

Calvin, you just have to scour eBay and keep your fingers crossed that you'll score one for <$50.00,

well if you find the Yamaguchi that is the same class as the Enterprise C but you still need to get the parts to make an E-C though.

Just a set of aftermarket Bussards and an E-C dish would do it

That looks really great! Ships with a clean finish are so much harder to pull off... that's why I stick to the Star Wars universe, you make a mistake, you call it battle damage and/or weathering!

oh yeah what voltage do you pull with the wires you use in your projects.

Beautiful! nice paint. I still got one in the garage i statert a few years back. Since I have been reading some of the novels I may make mine the Excalibur.
BTW as far as a Yamaguchi/Enterprise conversion goes, the studio model had an extra "Excelsior style" hanger bay slung underneath the standard rear bay. Does anyone know id this detail is on the kit? If so it would have to be removed as well...

I use a 9volt wall adapter rated at 800milliamps. The voltages are regulated to each LED by either 270 or 330 ohm resistors. Everything is wired in parallel.

The E-C kit comes with the extrat part for the underslung bay. It also has the gap in the belly for the phaser strip which was not on the E-C. Hope this answers your questions

Now that you mention it there was an Excelsior type bay in my kit. I bought it years ago and at the time I never knew what it was for. i thought it was a mistake. I didn't have the net back then. i just learned about the Yamaguchi differences a few months ago. I have never had the yama light up kit. I do have a near completely assembles E-C. Heck the kit was even better than I thought it was! Now i gotta find those extra parts...Shy [8)]

If you need that undslung shuttle bay let me know, I have a couple of them and the belly phaser strips should you decide to make a Yami out of it. The Yami dish however would have to come from Don's Light and Majic (dlmparts.com).

Any way back on subject. This build rules!
