Need a special Power Armor for an idea
Posted by philp on Monday, March 28, 2005 1:38 AM
Help,
I need a piece of Power Armor that can point at its own head. All the ones I have seen are not articulate enough. Looking for something in the 1/35th to 1/20th scale range but willing to consider others if they are about that height and can point at their own head. Can Gundam figures or anything else out there do this.
The only one I completed had to be done in a different scheme because he wasn't flexible enough.

I think most High Grade Gundam 1/144 kits will be able to do that, but I'm not sure if the size will be right for you. The complete kit should be some where around 4" to 5" tall.

4-5'" will work. Can anyone confirm this? I have tried several different types and just can't get the hand to get there. Planning on another Humor Power Armor piece and got to have this capability.
Thanks for the help Rick. Got a particular one in mind?

I think Rick Dom II MS-09R-2, Guncannon or RGM-79 GM COMMAND might just work for you. There's a few photos on this site :

I hope this will help

Have you tried any Maschinen krieger kits yet? They are 1/20 and to get the arms to move more , instead of using the joints in the kit use copper or lead rod at the joint get the pose you want and putty a "sleeve" over it and your done!
