Some pics of my latest Warhammer 40K models
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, April 1, 2005 5:37 AM
I've finally got round to photographing the Warhammer 40K models that I've finished recently (in the last month or so) so here they are.
Apologies for most of the pictures being rather dark, the weather hasn't been too good lately here in the UK and I've had to photograph them indoors. I don't normally use flash photography for models as I've found that it makes the paint colours appear too harsh and hides the fine details and weathering.

Eldar Guardians, in various Craftworld colours (including a converted Ulthwe Captain with power-sword and shuriken pistol)

Eldrad Ulthran (Eldar Farseer/commander character for the Ulthwe craftworld)

Tau XV8 Battlesuit, in a custom colour scheme (Catachan Green with white bands; it looks closer to black or very dark green in the photos though, unfortunately) -

Space Marine "Deathwing" Terminator (apologies for the second picture being so dark) -

Space Marine Dreadnought (fire support configuration), Ultramarines colours -

Space Marine Landspeeder "Tornado", Black Templars colours (the Black Templars logo on the front was made using a "Warhammer Fantasy" Empire shield decoration) -

Note that all of these models are rebuilt and repainted second-hand examples, all purchased on Ebay.

Currently I'm working on finishing a few Tau Fire Warriors, once they're done my next 40K project will be a Space Marine Land Raider (standard version, not the Crusader) in Dark Angels colours (built from a kit, not a rebuilt second-hand model).
