Ertl 1701A I'm working on
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 10:42 PM
Just wanted to share some photos of an Ertl 1701A I'm modifying. I decided to toss a few spotlights into it and fill in most of that horrible hull plating.

From the link below,, look in the second row for "Mike's 1701A". The current photos are labeled 042005a through 042005e.

Now I'd be giving away all my secrets Big Smile [:D]. How about a book on "How not to Black Out the Mid-Atlantic States with all that wiring"?

Well, while I still anxiously await my 1/350th's to show up, here are some shots of the Ertl E-A that I started to go nuts on. I still have some scribing to do; cleaning up grid lines and adding the additional missing landing foot for the saucer. But she’s coming along. I should have the hull mated to the neck tomorrow ( I hope). By the way, PC-11 Epoxy is some superb stuff. The pylons are solid and the neck is on the saucer like welded steel.

Look for files 042605 and 042605a in the "Mikes 1701A" Folder in this link:
