I haven't seen them in shops yet (here in the UK that is) but I've seen a few for sale on Ebay.
The prices seem to be the same as the ready-made figure-scale toys of the same vehicle. E.g the AT-RT (mini open-topped Scout Walker) is £14.99. The others are (I believe) the ARC-130 starfighter, Jedi starfighter (new type with TIE-style cockpit), Droid trifighter and Republic Assault Ship (big Star Destroyer-type capital ship).
Has anyone built one of these yet (or at least bought one and opened the box) - if so, what are they like? I'd be very interested to know - what's the overall level of detail (inside and out) and what scale are they? (Most of the older kits
were around 1/72)
So far I've built one Star Wars kit from the "snap-together" range (the Y-Wing) and, though of course
the older kits are 20-year-old moulds and (hopefully) not comparable to the newer ones, I was not impressed
by the level of detail, accuracy or fit - I'd much rather spend the time rebuilding and superdetailing a toy ship/vehicle in most cases!
Are the new kits any better, though?
