New Revell Republic Star Destroyer
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, June 5, 2005 7:06 AM
Just finished the new revell star destroyer from ep.III. The model went fairly fast and the directions were staright foreward and included lots of detail in painting. I put the model together except for four main parts, the bottom, top, bridge, adn engines. FRom here I could put it together adn then airbrush it. Afiter the paint dried I hand painted all the detail including places that should have been decals. The only decals I used were the two markings on either side of the red stripe. I then proceeded to weather it with ground down charcoal (never have been good at washes). After that I played around with a technique I saw over at starship modeler which involves taking matches and lighting them to simulate battle damage. Hope you guys like it. Comments appreciated.

P.S.
First time posting pics hope they turn out.

Well, now I see red x's. What paints did you use and what do you think of the kit?

Try www.photobucket.com. It's free and they seem to work without problems.
