My 1/2500 Enterprises..
Posted by Chris_in_Japan on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 9:58 PM
I am currently in the process of doing a collection of all the Enterprises in 1/2500.. I have started with the TOS Enterprise, and the Enterprise-A.. The Enterprise -D from this set is on the bench.. With the help of other members, I am currently trying to get enough parts for the Ent-B, C, E and NX.. If anyone has any lying around.. I am happy to take them off your handsSmile [:)]

To Start, here is my TOS Enterprise.. I have tried to keep it looking as the original.. But I have added (cant see in the pic) some extra detailing, including some chrome silver parts around the nacelles and the secondary hull, and saucer.. Forgive the seem on the saucer.. I must have sanded and puttied the thing about 4 times.. And I just had a bad habbit of dropping it.. So I just wanted to get her done!..

Next is my Enterprise-A.. I took my 1/350 Enterprise off the shelf and used it as a guide.. Every marking, every piece of aztec, was hand painted on the little 1/2500 A by hand.. Some peaople sand the saucer flat, but I decided to stick with the panel lines for this scale..

It will be nice to have all the Enterprises in one scale.. I have been wanting to do this for as long as I can remember. But the 3 piece kits are hard to come by..

Very nice, but Enterprise A should be the same size as the TOS one. Your A is bigger.

The Enterprise-A is bigger than the TOS.. They are not the same size...

If you are refering to the last picture.. The A looks alot bigger because it is closer to the camera????...

Perhaps that is it. And Enterprise A is marginally bigger. Not a significant diffrence. Nonetheless, very nice job.
