Wanted: Your Old, Assembled Battlestar Galactica Kits
Posted by Griffworks on Thursday, July 14, 2005 6:10 PM
Howdy,

Interested in any kits you might have of the Galactica or the Cylon Basestar that you don't want anymore. Looking primarily for already built kits you no longer desire that I can use for possible kitbashing, but if you've got one that's unbuilt - whether in the box or not - that you no longer want and will part with at a reasonable price, shoot me an email. I'm kind of looking at the possibility of doing a diorama, so the kits don't have to be prestine - I can take 'em apart and put back together again if necessary. I can't afford collector's prices on eBay, so am going to go this route.

I'm not interested in the Monogram Colonial Viper or Cylon Raider.

Shoot me an email (preferrable) and I'll get back to you ASAP!

Many thanks in advance.

I feel really bad because you have helped me out lately Jeff.. I just picked up 2 for my personal collection. I got a Base Star and a Galactica Monogram kits.. I have waited all my life to get them, so not going to part with them.. But I am always on the look out and will let you know if any come up here in Japan.. We do have an auction site, so if you are willing to pay for one, what is your limit? They some times pop up from time to time...ps, I am looking at 2 auctions for the Konami kits for you, but still 2 days to go.. Fingers crossed..

Chris

On the bench:

                          1/48 RAAF 3 Sqn F/A-18B

                          1/150 /1/160 N Scale Japanese Rail diorama.

You could also try keeping an eye out on Ebay for completed models for sale. There were a few on eBay UK last month. I won the Viper and Cylon Raider for around £6 (plus P&P) for the two, there was also a Galactica and Basestar (which I didn't bid on) which went for around £10 each (again, plus P&P, which was about £4 for each lot)

Don't sweat it, Chris. I appreciate the efforts. I'll be disappointed if you should happen not to get them, but won't be upset at all. In fact, I'll be grateful for your efforts. Smile [:)]

Yeah, I've been lookin' believe me! In fact, I just picked up an old, beatup basestar, tho still haven't heard back from the seller on shipping costs....

I've bene keepin' an eye on what the various kits are going for on eBay, as well as some of the other forums that actually allow people to trade/sell their kits. Some of those kits are going for insane prices on eBay USA. A builtup one - which while nice and not bad, wasn't a stellar buildup - went for the insane price of USD$86! People shouldn't smoke Crack.

Anyhow, I'd like to get my hands on one more battlestar to be fully happy, methinks.
