FInally found a 1/350 Polar Lights Refit Enterprise here in Japan...but I didn't get it! I'm happy enough with the little Bandai Enterprise.

I almost picked it up. It's going for 7,700 yen, or about $70 USD. Is that a decent price?

Still kinda thinking about it...which of course means if I do decide to go back and get it, it's sure to ge GONE!

Ain't that the truth! Seems like any time I see a kit I want I don't have money, and when I have money, I can't find the kit I want. I got into the bad habit while in Okinawa of "see it, buy it!" and had to break that when we moved back stateside.
A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm; every meal is a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade... The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah...The Men's Department.

Buy it...buy it...buy itBig Smile [:D] Besides you have never test fit something like this in your life. I sat speechless just looking at it all taped together on my bench. After my wife wiped the drool off my chin while I showed her the ripples in the arboretum streams, the little itty bitty worker bees...ahhhhhh...

No really though it is one of the most impressive kits I have bought. At $70 US it doesn't sound bad for a markup in Japan. I got mine for $40 but have seen local shops here in the States put it out on the shelf for as much as $65 (gouge the fansCensored [censored])

$70 to buy it in Japan is a very good price. The ship is huge, so shipping is expensive. Buying it from StarshipModeler.com would cost $45 plus about $30 postage to Japan.

Yeah, that mark-ups not too outrageous. You should buy it!

As I might have mentioned, I saw the 1/1000 TOS kit selling for almost ¥4000 here in Tokyo. Didn't buy here, of course.

I shipped 1 to Iizuka city and it was 36$ and I live on the West coast. 70$ is a great price.

Not a bad price at all. I would recomment that you get it. I bought mine for $55 US.
