Any kits from the new "Stealth" movie
Posted by skankr on Friday, August 5, 2005 2:52 PM
Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone has heard of any kits from the new movie, "Stealth". The movie itself looks real cheesy, but those planes real pretty cool. Any info would be appreciated.

might try posting this one on the Starship MOdeler forums (www.starshipmodeler.com/) i think they did a very productive thread on this topic a little while ago, someone might have agreed to make a garage kit of some of the planes....not sure though, would be nice =]

Hope this helps,

Anthony

It would be neat to have "Eddie" and the Rusian Su-??. Not to mention the others, God, I wish I could remember what they were called. Heh, I'd get 'em all. I love that movie!

The Sukhois in the movie were called terminators.
Actually one of the planes of the Su-27 family (can't remember which) is called terminator by NATO countries. I don't think there is a two-seater with canards like the one in the movie though. The Su-30 is a two-seater and the Su-37 has canards for example.
Anyway, it'd be cool to see kits from the movie.

Cheesy implies cheap, and the visuals in this film are anything but.

I don't think this movie was around long enough for model manufacturers to have any interest in selling kits. Which is a shame because I would love to have a model of the AI plane (can't remember the name).

No kidding! Here in México the movie wasn't in the cinemas anymore and they were still showing ads in the TV (they may have bought the airtime earlier). It's almost weird that there was a strong ad campaign and the movie did bad.
I guess you need a big name star to sell. So sad.
