You just need to look at other avenue's.. Some companies charge that price because there isnt allot of competition, and know that when someone wants something they will pay it.. I am looking to getting my hands on the kit at a dramatically reduced price.. It simply doesnt cost Y19,000 - Y21,000 yen to buy... I would be happy to organise getting kits for other people. But I would need an order of 5-10 or more to do it.. No promisses yet, but still finding out..

Hello? its THE MILLENIUM FALCON! is anyone as exited as i am? Smile [:)]

I can tell I've become of of the old fart modelers.

Price was never an issue.

When you price the cost of all the aftermarket parts plus the cost of the kit, you might as well get the Fine Molds. That way you'llknow what all the guys are talking about when they start fussing the "part number C45 is incorrectly shaped. It should be poly-hexagonal not poly-octoganol".

*GASP*

I forsake my ears (eyes?) for even coming upon that statement! I weep! Big Smile [:D]

Whatever floats your boat. At least you won't want to spend around $200 USD on this particular kit, and there's one more for me! Wink [;)]

Personally, I actually found the Millenium Falcon to be the least coolest Star Wars craft.

For me the AT-AT is the coolest one. Rare wine? Maybe.

I've put my order in for it weeks ago. I added up all the extra bits and pieces to make the MPC Falcon a little more accurate, and it tipped $200, and the FM Falcon will still be a more accurate kit!
Model On!

This is definitely on my Christmas list this year. My wife isn't quite as excited as me though, what with the new 1/32 Tamiya Thunderbird kit as well. Big Smile [:D]

I love the fact that it's modeled to match the actual movie model. SIgn me up for this one!!!!

I got my order placed already. Smile [:)]

Ever since I touched the Fine Molds Kits the old "original" kits lost their interest for me.
To be honest I would like to see some of the old kits upgraded and remodeled as their scale is more too my liking.

But than there is something to be said for most kits being 1/72 which appeals to the dorama builder in me. Wink [;)]

I reckon with 800 parts we should have some nice "visible" interior details.

Hmm, I'll consider it once I get my reenlistment bonus. Until then, it's off the table for consideration. :(

I really like the Millenium Falcon. It has a very unique design and it's just cool. I have a finemolds' tie-interceptor and a Me-410 and both look great. But it's too pricey. I can't stop thinking about all the other stuff I could get with that money.

Just the opposite.

HLJ has set their price and announced the release date. You can pre-order through them now, or pre-order through Starship Modeler at:

Hope that helps,

Youl spend more on aftermarkets for the ERTL kit just to end up with a far less quality buildup.

Don't know about that price, seems kinda way too much to ask, but 800 pieces is a good thing. Much more detail.

Knowing Fine Molds quality(have build a few of their kits) I would say that it is going to be worth every cent.

I would love that thing, and would enjoy the 800 parts, but that price tag...no way.

I had heard about it, but couldn't get excited about the price tag. And 800 parts?
