That the aztecing look?

That's the stuff. It was used for a couple of reasons one is it adds more of a sense of size and shows more of the contours rather than just a flat surface and the other (and my personal favorite) is it offers more eye candy for the viewers Tongue [:P]

Well I got it on my shelf,it takes up the whole top of my bookcase in my bedroom,I am just glad it is almost done. I am waiting until the weekend to do the decals and the final gloss coat.

I really like the great response for help I received from you guys.I am so glad that you are all here.

My next project is making a NX Columbia model with the 1/1000 kit that just came out. I will probably buy the masks for these. Does anyone have any ideas where to get them?.Banged Head [banghead] Any Help would be appreciated, thanks.Big Smile [:D]

Well I think the only way to do this without paying through the nose for the masks is to make your own masks with graphic artists frisket paper or like your doing by hand painting them.Either way is going to be alot of work.
Good luck!

Try this,

www.starshipmodeler.com

look in the Star Trek forum. Also, there are painting masks available, but they run about 80 bucks I think.

Hope this helps

Well I really did not think it would turn out,but I freehanded the aztecing by hand painting it. I am about 95% done with the kit,I still have to decal it and gloss coat it.
I want to thank those who helped me and wished me luck,so Thanks very much.
