That is truly outstanding. How long did it take you to make it?

So to put it into scale, that Falcon attached to the back is little bigger than you're average soft contact lens! CRIPES MAN! :) Great build in every repect.

Just poking around this Sci-Fi stuff and noticed this-terrific!! I saw the original Star Wars in the theatre and was blown away by the opening sequence with the star destroyer-this build really captures that illusion.

Not only the result is outstanding but also the time it took to create such a masterpiece:
Only 7 months!

WOW! Everything is just so... soooo.... wow! Details, lights, it all just ... welll... WOW!

Did you work off technical drawings?

You say this was a commissioned job. Is this just for someone's private collection?

Yes, it's now part of a private collection. Thanks for all the comments, it was a fun project, the first commission I ever took on and one that I was appreshensive about taking.

Once done, it was really hard to crate her up!

I can see many different warship parts in that Star Destroyer.

On the workbench: Dragon 1/350 scale Ticonderoga class USS BunkerHill 1/720 scale Italeri USS Harry S. Truman 1/72 scale Encore Yak-6

The 71st Tactical Fighter Squadron the only Squadron to get an Air to Air kill and an Air to Ground kill in the same week with only a F-15 http://photobucket.com/albums/v332/Mikeym_us/

Thanks again. The Falcon is just cut from sheet styrene. I started with the basic shape in 050, and then used some very thin cuts to build up the layers from there. Added a few styrene rods, drilled a couple of holes and called it a day. I had been stressing about the Falcon for several months before finally just starting to cut. I was worried about how'd it look, being so small and all, but have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the results.

Well, anyone that knows the history of the making of Star Wars (First and original movie) knows that dozens of war ship models were used in the design of the Death Star and all the space ships.

So, excellent job keeping the spirit of Star Wars ingenuity, eh?
