Thanks again for your replies. I am sorry I sent some of you on a wild goose chase through the November issue. I just assumed that since the issue just came in the mail, that it was November. See what happens when you assume. I have seen the dropship kit and the APC kit on ebay. The dropship was listed as being 1/72 scale and the APC was 1/35. I guess that also threw me off because the pic in FSM, they look the same scale. Nice scratch build.

They(Halcyon) did it in plastic also and it's not cheap if you can find it, last time I saw the kit at the LHS it was $60US

Insanity is no fun Brian. I stressed out during a midterm last week so I know what it was like to be confused beyond reason. Some how I didn't know the exam was Thursday and prepared for the book dicussion I though was happening instead. That add issues with an essay I've still got to do and class scheduling runaround and I lost it. My mag arrives on the last Fri. or Sat of the month precedes newstand arrival. Ex Dec comes out in Nov, so mine arrived Sat Oct 29th. Any deviation makes me worry.

Ah, thanks for that! I've been flipping back and forth through the November issue, going nuts trying to find it! I don't have the December issue yet.

I have the November FSM, but cannot find any reference to the Dropship and APC models you mentioned. What page are they on?

I would concur with what Peter has said. You probably saw the Aoshima diecast models, which are expensive, and in my opinion, really not that very nicely done. They are not as expensive as the old Halcyon injection kits are these days, though! The Halcyon kits fetch quite a price on eBay these days.

Try www.hlj.com for the Aoshima diecast models. Plenty of them on the shelves here in Japan, so I'd guess HLJ would have them in stock, too.
Good luck!

Don't have that issue of FSM, but here is a thought.

AFAIK, there never were matching APC and Dropship kits produced. Argonauts I think had kits but they were not too scale and of so-so quality.

My gut feeling is that what was shown in the article might be the NEW diecasts by Aoshima which were not too long ago released.
Aoshima aquired quiet a lot of licences over the last few years and decided to release diecasts rather then reissue the original plastic models.
Be warned of sticker shock though, most of their die-casts retail for around $90 EACH.

As for Aliens kits there were a host of aliens(various), nostradamus, a powerloader, etc most of them should still be available in one form or another.

In the November issue of FSM, there is a pic of a kit or kits depicting the Drop ship and APC from the movie Aliens. Does anyone know where I could get this kit(s)?
Don't usually do Sci-Fi but will make an exception for this one if I could find the kits. I have never seen anything from the Alien series in any hobby shop.
