KIT IDEAS NEEDED
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, November 11, 2005 6:00 PM

Hi every one, I need some help on behalf of a friend. My friend wants to start building again and in Sci-Fi, preferably something to do with Aliens,Predator, Terminator or Star Trek. My problem is that she wants a kit that is preferably plastic (resin or vinyl as a last resort) and has lots and lots of pieces. She isn't so much bothered about the painting side cos she'll get mug Wink [;)]here to paint it but she wants lots of pieces (150 plus)to put together. If anyone can suggest something with supply details then she will be very very happyBig Smile [:D]   Cheers Guys

I dont know where you would find a sci fi kit that has 150 parts?

If you like, get her some Maschinen krieger kits, they are different and offer alot of weathering oppertunities.

There's the Polar Lights Enterprise refit. Butt-loads of parts.

Other than that....not much else in styrene within those parameters.

For something else you could try some of the MG or PG grade Gundams. More parts than you can shake a stick at.

The Deep Space Nine station with fiber optics is pretty involved.  the Klingon Bird of Prey kit is a good detail bit with lots of painting and such to do as well.

For Trek I would have to say both of the Polar Lights 350th scale Enterprise kit are the way to go (150 pieces on the Refit and 200 on the NX01) And as was stated the new Fine Molds Falcon is the new bad boy on the block.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, unfortunately she don't like the NX-O1, she thinks the other is too big and she's not a fan of Star WarsAshamed [*^_^*]  ( she's a woman remember, never satisfied)Banged Head [banghead] Think i will have to get her in to Star Wars like me and try the Falcon kit.

Cheers for the ideas.Thumbs Up [tup]
