There, that should work.

Looks good so far.  Can you give some tips on what you are using for lighting, etc?  I have one to build for a customer and the lightset from VooDooFX isn't due out till next year.

Very cool.  Is that the kit that comes with lights?  I think I saw it at the local hobby store today but didn't look close as I only had "military models" on the brain at the time.

Very Nice Model,Great Job! How long did it take to light it?

Thanks!!Big Smile [:D] Although this kit begs for illumination, it does not come with lights.  You'll have to research the net for the best deal on LEDs - and a lot of them at that.  As far as the time on the bench, whew.....it's been on the bench for a couple of months.  Being the first of this size, it takes a bit longer to experiment with different lighting configurations.

This one is for a customer, for now depending on whether the remaining payment is made.  Otherwise, she'll be up for grabs if the customer defaults.

Awesome start Jack. With what you do on the smaller kits this should turn out great. I can't wait to see this.

It has been a while since I've posted any updates here.  Photos of the build can be viewed on my website by clicking the "On The Bench" button.  http://www.fuzznoggincreations.com.

I do have some photos of the custom base that I'm using for this monster.   In the following shots, there are some Aztek greeblies that I'm going to place on top of the base.  For now, only a few of them are shown and they are just temporarlily set on the top.  The medallion is temporarily in place with masking tape.  I will be researching the use of some nano-led's for some additonal spot light effects from the base.

Enjoy!

Thank you Terry for such kind words.  I'll have to pour a Guinness when I finish attaching the model to the base.

I have posted some additional photos at my web site on the completion of the base.  They may be viewed at:

One More Day To Go !!
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, March 16, 2006 8:45 PM
The ship has been completed but it still needs to be mounted to the custom base.  I will take final photos of the whole deal tomorrow.  Until then, here are 4 updated photos of the ship - unlit.  The illuminated version will be posted as soon as I get the ship mated to the base.  By the way, there is an added enhancement to the base which really sets off this build.  Tune in tomorrow for that.  For now, just follow the link below to see the completed build.  Enjoy!

Hello, that is a spectacular build. How did you go about achieving the lines that wrap around the edge of the saucer section.

Also would you share the colors you used for the purples and the blues and the grays on the secondary hull and warp pylons etc......

And one more question.... did you lay down the flat white first, or the pearlescent white first?

Click the link below to view a photo of the 1:350th model setting up for Earth orbit.   I used Adobe Elemnets to meld the Enterprise into the background.  Enjoy.
