It would make for a neat model.

"kits for experienced modellers", eh?  does that mean it's a vaguely shaped piece of resin that an "experienced modeller" can file down into a nice representation of an aircraft? Big Smile [:D]

Yes I agree that a Unicraft  offering would be better for me at least because of the cost. I can see parts of F-18, F-16 and F-22.  Thats 3 donor kits and it would still be lacking.  And what about the EDI UCAV.  So many curves.  I'm at a loss on that one, don't know how to do curvesDead [xx(]

alright, here's my view...

1) if anyone was going to come out with a kit, it would Unicraft (maker of the wild and wonderful aerospace models such as a SpaceShipOne, Boeing Bird of Prey....etc) (Possibly revell...if we beg enough, or some small company like Lindbergh --> ID4 Alien attacker...etc.)

2) If Mr. Wong was to make a model...it would cost a fortune. His models are PACKED with detail. (I know from experience). Not implying anything bad here. Plus the Talon in 1/48 would be slightly larger than even a 1/48 F-18E...if you looked on the carrier during the movie, you would have noticed the regular carrier aircraft sitting in the background. (Perfect size comparison). This would make it a fairly large model.

There's a rumor over at SSM that Mr. Wong has been commisioned to build a 1:48 master of teh Talon.

Will it happen? Dunno, but I'm happy to see somebody else might also be building one.

Sorry it this has already been brought up before.

"Stealth" just came out on DVD and although I really wouldn't consider it a sci-fi movie I'm posting about it here anyway.  What is actually a true sci-fi movie -vs- action with special effects and/or aliens and/or fictional futuristic machines thrown in it is another debate altogether but I digress, sorry.

Anyone know of any possible kits coming out?  It doesn't look like a difficult scratchbuild because its mostly geometric.  Any thoughts on what might be a good starting point?
